Our Summer 2021 STEM Program is tailored to students preparing for our annual STEM Fair Summit. This session will offer intensive training and mentorship for students to design, execute, and present their very own STEM Fair projects. Students are selected from our past semesters and a new application pool. Qualified students span across Lodi, Pleasanton, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, and Robbinsdale (Minnesota) School Districts.

Our Summer 2021 Session allowed us to work with a set of qualified students to solidify and deepen their understanding of STEM fundamentals by conducting their very own Science Fair project, complete with a display unit, scientific method compliance, data analysis, and judge pitch! Intensive classes included one-on-one mentorship sessions, research support for specific project needs, and assistance with individual project execution.

Some of our students’ innovative projects include:

  • Energetic Energy Drinks: What is the effect of energy drink on a person’s heart rate?
  • Fruitify: What is the effect of fruit being organic on its ability to stay fresh?
  • A Sticky Situation: What is the effect of the type of bandage on its ability to stick after getting wet?
  • Egg-Sploring Buoyancy: What is the effect of salt content in water on an object’s ability to float?
  • Unplugged: What is the effect of temperature on the reliability of wireless signals?
