Our Fall 2020 STEM Program is offered to Lodi, Cupertino, and Sunnyvale District students. We had an amazing time teaching this wonderfully gifted batch of students, who picked up research and experimentation techniques extremely quickly and were so excited to apply their knowledge to a team project! Over the semester, the students got to know and work with one another as well as learn the fascinating fundamentals of STEM. They worked in two groups that they named Team Cookies and Team Stem Squad!

Team Cookies (Sylvia, Mohammed, Farrah, Ravleen, Coco) hard at work learning about the scientific method!
Team Stem Squad (Shakthi, Breeze, Inesh, Ryley, Erick, Kaustav) discussing amongst each other about their STEM projects!
We learned about experimentation (materials & methods) through a hands-on activity of a magic milk experiment! We were all wowed by the dancing colors caused by the reaction of dish soap and milk!
Team STEM Squad conducting their Penny Cleaning Experiment, in which they explored the topics of chemical reactions, rusting, and more!
